Yup! Here's some flame XML that will crash if you paste it in. Remove the third <xform> to not crash, but get the normal behavior silently removing un-matched variations): https://gist.github.com/mwegner/6b33201 ... 17a1aaa2d8

That's some weird malformed XML, there are 'gpattern_fill' strings that look a bit like attribute names, but have no attribute values.
