I installed CC 2.2.2 on a new laptop and it defaulted to online licensing. This is not useful since I regularly travel outside cell phone and internet access. As such, my library of fractal forms is limited to 1024x1024 which is not useful. I need to have my install default to a local license so that I'm not dependent on internet access to create larger worlds. I've posted this message several time in several places on this form an have always been met by silence. What must I do to make my $100 investment fully functional and independent from the Chaotica servers? Thank you for a speedy response Bruce |

1. I think they only allow one offline copy to be active 2. You need to go to the "buy now" button on the website. then hit the login button in the top right corner 3. If you do have a license locked you need to request a new one. 4. hit your order number it should have a box to put in your hardware key if not you will need to request to release the old license. There should be a button for it. 5. in Chaotica click "Help" then in the dropdown "licensing" in the new window click the "License key" tab hit copy to clipboard 6. Back on the website paste that into the box saying Enter hardware key to create license. 7. Copy the key and paste it into the other box in Chaotica. Click verify license key and you will be offline. If you do need to release the old license it may take a few days to get a response. This program changed ownership back to the original developer and it seems to have lost all support. I think there is a Discord where everyone is at now. |
